Midleton

A Canadian 3GS iPhone: my phone, general organiser and a pretty useful little computer (although it will be more useful when Apple let me install my own software on it).

Named for Midleton Extra Rare - the finest whiskey I have had the pleasure of. Also my Mum's home town (give or take a mile) in Midleton, Co. Cork and home to the largest distillery in Ireland (it used to be the Power's distillery, and came to be where United Irish Distillers consolidated virtually all of the production of their whiskey in the seventies[note]).

Previously

My old British iPhone 3G and Palm Tungsten T3, now passed on, were also called midleton.

[note]
Bar Bushmills, which needs the rocks and water where it's made in Antrim, and a token amount distilled at the Bow Street Distillery in Dublin.
